With a change in weather comes a change in wardrobe. Being an English lass, (despite 9 years in Sydney) I still find myself more willing to splurge on winter woolies than shorts and singlets. There’s nothing better than a plethora of scarves to choose from on a cold morning! Quite uncharacteristically I realised I’ve created a bit of a collection of new purchases, so thought I would share them with you all!
There’s no easier accessory than a snood. Endless fights with your scarf trying to create an acceptable shape become a thing of the past, and those made of thinner material still succeed in keeping you comfortable in the slightly colder months. I picked up 2 from ASOS (a treasure trove of inexpensive snoods it seems). The first was the New Look Oversized Heart Snood for an absolute steal at $10.76. It is lightweight but so comfortable as well as being a rather cute statement. For something a bit warmer and more versatile, I bought the ASOS Rib Knit Snood in Grey, again for a ridiculously cheap $17.61. With my 10% student discount, I almost feel like I robbed them.

Target had 30% off NYX cosmetics last week, so I immediately stocked up on my favourite NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Creme Brûlée for about $6! I’ve also been on the lookout for a cheap brown neutrals palette to keep in my make up bag, and spotted this gorgeous ‘Love in Paris’ palette in Parisian Chic. Normal price is only $17, and the quality of the shadows is excellent. Stay tuned for a tutorial!

Finally comes one of those bargain stories that is passed down through generations. On Mother’s Day we meandered into Hollister in Bondi Junction, not really looking for anything in particular. I’ve never bought anything from there, as despite the hype in the UK, I think it’s just the name that sells well and their stock isn’t that special. Nonetheless, my Mum went to purchase a $56 jumper only to be told that due to conversion error from USD they were only $18.50! Needless to say we all rushed to buy more. I picked up one in navy blue and one in white, though unfortunately they had run out of my size in the white so it’s a little big. For a $75 saving, I’m not whinging!
